Non-Exclusive Publishing Agreement

Publisher Agrees To:

Universal Publishers (the Publisher) agrees to assign a publisher's ISBN and offer the work for sale. The Publisher agrees to pay the author a royalty of twenty percent (20%) on sales of the work after the sale of the first three copies sold in each calendar quarter when ordered through a bookseller at our standard discount, and forty percent (40%) on all sales after the sale of the first three copies in each calendar quarter when purchased from Universal Publishers at the retail price. Royalties are payable 45 days following the end of each calendar quarter. The Publisher agrees to cease distribution of the work within 90 days upon written notification by the author.

Author Agrees To:

I represent and warrant to Universal Publishers the content of the manuscript submitted is my own work and that I do not infringe or violate the rights of anyone else and that I am the sole owner to the rights to this work. Furthermore, I understand that it is my sole responsibility to obtain any copyright permission necessary to publish my work.

I hereby grant Universal Publishers the limited, non-exclusive right to reproduce and distribute, in whole or in part, my work indicated on Submission Form in both hard copy and electronic form. I agree that either party may terminate this agreement for any reason, at any time, by giving 90 days written notice (initial fees are non-refundable). I acknowledge that any changes to my work after it is accepted for publication by Universal Publishers represent a new submission and may require repayment of all submission and preparation fees. It is my responsibility to notify Universal Publishers of changes in my email and mailing address.
