Dr. Safty is University Professor, and former International Affairs Commentator for Global Television. Among his publications, his book From Camp David to the Gulf (Black Rose Books, 1993, 1997) was selected Publisher's Choice in 1993 and a second edition appeared in 1997. As Head of UN Mission and Director of the Leadership Academy, Prof. Safty organized and was president of the United Nations Leadership Conferences in the late 1990s that brought together distinguished leaders and scholars from over 100 countries. In 1997, Professor Safty received the First UNESCO Chair in International Leadership. He is currently Dean of Leadership and Public Affairs at Bahcesehir University-Istanbul.
